The Southwest Florida Water Management District waters around Hernando were running well despite the weather conditions. We launched around sunrise with partly cloudy skies overhead and perfect water conditions at Crystal River Preserve State Park. The weather stayed comfortable throughout our trip with Salty Day Fishing Charters.

Once the stage was set, we focused on bottom fishing and casting with live bait to target the redfish cruisin' the flats. The jigging technique worked well in the deeper pockets around the preserve.
