I met Captain Dave about 2 years ago and finally got a chance to go out fishing with him a couple of weeks ago with 2 friends and we caught a lot of fish that day , it was a awesome trip. Dave told me about his Lowrance unit and Florida Marine Tracks card he runs in it , I decided to upgrade my unit and he took me out yesterday in my pontoon boat and set everything up for me and showed me how to use it , oh by the way we also caught a limit of trout in 30 minutes along with numerous other fish. Give him a call and go catch some fish , you won’t regret it.

It was a perfect day for fishing with Captain Dave. Clear skies, calm waters and he had us on the fish. He was very knowledgeable on where to find the fish. Even what fish would be in each spot. It was a great day on the water. If we are back in the area again we would definitely book with him again! Thanks Captain Dave!

Captain Dave really had to work today! 3 kids on the boat and he took it in stride, super helpful and great with the kids. We caught such a diverse array of fish that were firsts for many of my junior anglers. Took the cleaned fish to a local restaurant recommended by Captain and it was amazing!

Trip - Half Day Or Full Day Scalloping And Fishing Trip In Crystal River on July 1, 2025

My family and I went scalloping for the first time. We didn't know what to expect but surprisingly it was quite easy. Captain Dave and his dog River were the best crew that we could possibly imagine. You all had a great time and tons of scallops to come home with. Captain Dave knew exactly where to go with the most abundant amount of scallops I was coming up sometimes even with five in my hand and one little location dive. I would highly recommend Captain dave and River for all your outdoor water needs. We're looking to make this a trip that we do every year when we come to Crystal River. Thank you Captain Dave for the most amazing time for my family. We appreciate everything you did for us, see you next year or hopefully sooner.

Had a great day on the water with Capt. Dave! He kept us safe during weather that rolled through and we still had plenty of time to catch a bunch of fish! He caters to everyone while fishing and his help and information was much appreciated. He put us over some great spots and everyone had a great time! Thank you, Capt! Originally from Florida, I fish with a lot of inshore and nearshore charter guides when I come back to visit family. It is far easier and even cheaper to do so than to bring my own boat with me from over 700 miles away.It is easy to spot a good fishing, captain and charter right off the bat.This captain, was by far, one of the best that I have fished with over the past 15 years. Excellent day on the water. Caught many species of fish, and even a few to bring back for dinner. I will definitely book with this captain again in the future.

Great day on the water! Dave was ready when we arrived. He was very through with his instructions and the game plan for the day. We stopped in the river for him to give instructions to everyone so even the least experienced of us was prepared for the day. We tried a few locations and moved as necessary to find fish, which we did! Numerous keeper reds and a couple nice overs, plenty of trout, and even a black drum, a pompano, and a Spanish mackerel. Great guide and a fantastic day on the water!

Captain Dave is a true professional. Great equipment, knowledgeable in finding fish in changing weather conditions. Was a little worried about fishing after a cold front, but Captain put us on the fish. Very accommodating and courteous. Very good day and will be booking again
