Redfish

Summer is in full swing here in Crystal River, and the fishing has been solid across the board. The inshore bite is heating up with plenty of action for anglers targeting redfish and snook. Early mornings around the mangrove points and creek mouths have produced steady catches, especially on live pinfish and soft plastics. Sight fishing has also been productive on the grass flats during the mid-morning tide — keep your casts low and accurate for the best chances.

Trout are holding on the deeper grass beds and responding well to popping cork rigs paired with shrimp or gulp baits. Look for moving water and keep an eye out for bait activity. The baits of choice are live pin fish and cut bait. They can also be caught trolling diving plugs of choice.&nbsp;</div><div>Redfish, Sheepshead and trout are still biting also.&nbsp;</div>
